Applications for the 2010/2011 Season of the Kids For Animals Club are NOW AVAILABLE!

The goal of the Kids for Animals Club is to learn as much as possible about animals. The more we know, the better we’re able to be their friends. We believe in the humane treatment of all animals.

A Kids for Animals Club member:

  • Has a keen interest in animals
  • May or may not have pets at home
  • Wants to learn about all types of animals and their environments
  • Is interested in the possibility of working with animals some day

Each Kids for Animals Club group meets one day per month from September to June.  In the past, our activities have included nature hikes, trips to the zoo, crafts, games, grooming activities, choosing pets, and visiting speakers from other animal related organizations.

We have small, ongoing fundraising activities – mostly recycling bottles and cans – to contribute to animal related projects. We’ve also sponsored endangered zoo animals, supported efforts to save the rain forest and purchased much needed equipment for the Shelter animals.

The Kids for Animals Junior Club is for children 8 to 11 years.
The Kids for Animals Senior Club is for children 12 to 16 years.
