Homeschool Day at Fort Calgary

Attention Homeschoolers! There is an upcoming homeschool day at Fort Calgary on May 20th, 2011.Â
In the morning, students will work in groups as Mounted Police detectives and use forensic science experiments to analyze evidence from a real historical crime in Calgary’s past! In the afternoon, students will then determine guilt or innocence in early Calgary’s democratic system by participating in a mock trial, where everyone has a role. Reading and some writing required, also a short pre-visit activity. Bring a lunch!
Age: 10-13 years old ; Parents optional
Time: 9:30am-1pm, ½ hr lunch
