Educational Programming Positions at YouthLink Calgary

YouthLink Calgary – The Calgary Police Interpretive Centre, an organization that empowers youth to make positive choices and stay safe is accepting applications for three part time contract educational programming positions (weekdays – Mon-Thurs).

The primary function will be the delivery of the KIDO (Knowing the Issues – Discussing the Options) program to Grade 6 students.  Training will be provided. Other duties include administrative support for the program and may also involve research around the social issues YouthLink Calgary addresses (Bullying, Gangs, Domestic Violence, Substance Abuse and Online Safety).

Successful applicants will have a relevant degree in education, social work or criminology.  They will be self-starters having outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with experience doing presentations or delivering programs to children.  Relevant research experience would be an asset.

These positions offer a very  competitive hourly wage. The contract is from September 26th to December 21st but may very well be extended to June 22nd 2012.  Please submit your resume with cover letter to by September 12th, 2011.
