The Military Museums is introducing new programs!
Check out our updates on our website and here on the SERG website.
Our new programs include:
Shaping Our Nation: War of 1812 (Grade 7) — Canada’s identity and political boundaries were shaped due to the events of the War of 1812. Learn about the exploits of General Isaac Brock, Tecumseh, and Laura Secord. Discover who really wins this war by finding out who lost the war. This program package contains a theatre presentation, tour, and activity.
Origins of Remembrance (Grades 1-12) –– NEW Remembrance program for 2012. This is a presentation of the experiences and insights from a First World War nursing sister as she details how Remembrance Day and the symbols of remembrance began. This presentation is modified for younger audiences and is suitable year round.
Peacekeeper or Peacemaker (Grades 4-6) — Two UN operations will be compared and contrasted in this interactive theatre presentation. As with international conflicts and conflict resolutions, students will be able to recognize these problems within their lives.
