Are you keen to make a difference? Do you want to put your conservation education into practice? Why not get involved with a Take Action initiative?

The Cross Conservation Area is actively involved in the Take Action for Wildlife initiative. This is a chance for all educational programs visitors to take on their own wildlife protection projects. How about a classroom project to build bluebird boxes to provide homes for our feathered friends, start a litter less lunch program,  or start recycling initiatives? Consider fundraising to protect habitat and so much more!

The Ann and Sandy Cross Conservation Area (ASCCA) Conservation Education Programs for Youth cover fun and educational programs both at the ASCCA and in your own school yard.  Join the fun and sign your students/youth up for one of our Conservation Discovery programs: day long school programs at the ASCCA, outreach programs at your school and  organized group programs at the ASCCA. Our hands-on programs inspire awareness, appreciation, and action! The Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area is a 4800 acre natural area, located southwest of Calgary on 160th St SW off Highway 22X. The ASCCA is a mix of aspen forest and grassland habitats and is home to over 400 species of plants and wildlife.
