Water is our most basic need yet hundreds of millions of people worldwide are trapped in a cycle of poverty and disease because they lack access to safe drinking water. Nationally, many of Canada’s First Nations are on boil-water advisories due to a lack of clean drinking water. Climate change is causing severe water shortages around the globe, including North America.
The presentation will give students an overall understanding of global and local water issues and give tangible actions for students to take within their school or community.
