Mock Trials

The Mock Trials program is an engaging and interactive way for high schools students to learn about the criminal trial process in Canada. During 5 class periods (of 1.5 hours each) students will learn about the Canadian court structure, innocence principles, various roles in court, rules of evidence and the four elements of an offence a Crown Prosecutor must prove to win their case. Each student will assist in creating the evidence and will be assigned a court role to re-inact a criminal trial. Students will also go through the jury process to deliver a verdict.rnrnPresented in your classroom.rnThere is no charge for this program as it funded by the Alberta Law Foundation however, donations are gratefully accepted
