School Tour – Theory of Flight Grade Six Program
In this program, students learn how an aircraft flies. They study forces of flight, Bernoulli’s Principle, Newton’s Laws of Motion, and the control surfaces of aircraft. This tour is a great way for students to experience real-life application of abstract concepts. They are able to discover the secrets of flight using real aircraft.
120 minute program
We offer tools and information for grade six teachers to lead their own 120 minute program as well. These programs currently include: Every Picture Tells a Story, Unlocking the Hidden Story, Balloons and Rockets and Nose Art. One of these programs, combined with the Theory of Flight program, can fill a full day for students at the museum.
