About This Program
Join us for a hands-on exploration of Halloween’s past and the amazing animals often associated with it. From the “Old Country” immigrant traditions of the early 1900s to the essential role of bats, snakes, and spiders in our own backyards, students will walk away with a new perspective on the season. Through stories, artifacts, and activities, we’re turning “spooky” into “spectacular”!
What to Expect
Prairie Pumpkins runs from Sept. 21 to Oct. 30; Exploring the Park before or after a school program is not permitted as the Village is closed; The program is designed for a maximum of 30 students along with supervisors.
