About This Program
Consider how wildlife interacts with the landscape and the effects of human impacts on their habitat. Through a series of hands-on activities and games, students will identify quality wildlife habitats, understand population changes, explore simple and complex ecosystem relationships, explore threats and opportunities for species at risk, and utilize our on-site wildlife cameras to consider how species move and interact with the forest.
What to Expect
The program begins in the staging area with a safety talk and introductions to the day. We will then set out on the forest paths to complete our activities, returning back to the staging area midday for lunch before heading back out to complete the remainder of our activities. Generally our forest walks are about 10-20 minutes each way on unpaved but easy terrain. We are able to accommodate up to 2 classes of 40 per program
